What is Classified Files?
Classified Files is a private photo vault disguised as a fully working calculator. Photos and videos you import are encrypted with AES-256 on your device. Only entering your secret code in the calculator reveals the encrypted album.
Unlocking
How do I open my encrypted album?
Open the app, type your secret number code on the calculator, then press the "=" key. If Face ID or pattern lock is enabled, complete those steps and the encrypted album appears.
I forgot my unlock code. What can I do?
For security there is no backdoor on the device: the code cannot be recovered or bypassed. If iCloud Drive sync was enabled, you can delete and reinstall the app, then restore your encrypted content by signing in with the same Apple ID. Please store your code somewhere safe.
How do Face ID and pattern lock work together?
Both are optional extra layers, configured in Settings. The order is: calculator disguise (if enabled), then Face ID, then unlock pattern. All enabled steps must pass before the album is shown. The app locks again when it goes to the background.
Privacy & Data
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Classified Files has no servers and no accounts. Your files are encrypted and stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud Drive sync, only the encrypted files (ciphertext) are synced to your personal iCloud Drive — never readable plaintext.
How does iCloud sync and restore work?
With iCloud Drive sync enabled, encrypted files are stored in your private iCloud Drive. After reinstalling the app or switching to a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID and your encrypted album can be restored.
How do I delete photos or free up space?
Open a photo and use the trash button, or delete items from the album. Deleting the app removes all local encrypted data. Synced ciphertext in iCloud Drive can be managed from the Files app.
