竹知了 (Zhu Zhi Liao) is a simple toy simulation app for iPhone: shake your phone to make a spinning cicada chirp, just like the bamboo toy it's modeled on. This policy explains what little information the app touches.
1. Motion sensor data
竹知了 reads your iPhone's built-in motion sensor (accelerometer) to detect how hard you're shaking the phone, purely to animate the on-screen cicada and play sound. This data is processed entirely on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
2. Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, 竹知了 submits your chirp count and peak shake intensity to Apple's Game Center leaderboards so you can compare with friends. This data is handled entirely by Apple under its own privacy policy — the developer of 竹知了 never receives or stores it.
3. Custom sound files
If you choose to import your own audio file as a custom cicada sound, that file is copied into the app's local storage on your device only. It is never uploaded anywhere.
4. Data we do not collect
竹知了 has no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics SDKs, no account system, and no network requests of its own. It does not collect, sell, or share any personal data.
5. Children's privacy
竹知了 is a general-audience app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally, including any imported sound file. Game Center data can be managed from your Apple ID's Game Center settings.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
